How to use the GESE 9 Technology Lesson Plans

Vocabulary

  • Start with the GESE 9 Technology vocabulary activity. You can first play a game to elicit language the students already know. Check out some vocabulary games you could use in this blog post. Then, give students the vocabulary handout and go through it with them. Get them to use the vocabulary in a personalised way by asking questions and getting them to talk to their partner. They should also add any new language they need. You could also ask students to test each other on the language that is included. Finish up the class with another vocabulary game – perhaps charades or twenty questions using the language on the handout.

Speaking, Reading and Writing

  • For the next class, use the GESE 9 Technology lesson. In this lesson, the students have to read and talk about smart homes and then write an argument essay about technology – click on the link for a lesson plan describing how to use this resource.

Listening
